Italy Rai CEO invited to attend Iran’s Cinema Verite

Managing director of Italian film comany Rai Cinema, Paolo Del Brocco, has been set to join Iran’s "Cinema Verite" fest.

He will travel to the Iranian capital city of Tehran to join many other officials and professionals to attend the 11th edition of Cinema Verite.

Brocco will attend Cinema Verite’s International Documentary Film Festival on December 12 to discuss trends in the global television and documentary industry with Iranian documentary makers.

Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), the 11th Cinema Verite is to be held on December 10-17 in Tehran.

Born in Rome in 1963, Paolo Del Brocco is a graduate in economics and business. the CEO for the film arm of Italian pubcaster RAI is also a university instructor, journalist and cinematographer.

Brocco started working at Rai in 1991 where he held various positions, eventually moving up the ranks to become broadcasting manager of Rai 2 in 1992. He later became CEO of Rai Cinema.
